Several years ago, a Facebook friend posted about choosing a word of the year on New Year's Day. This word would guide her throughout the year- decision making, goals, prayers, etc. I always thought it was a good idea but never bothered to put the idea into motion.
Well, I'm going to give it a whirl. My word will be: minimalize. Yes, it's the latest buzz word, catchphrase, trend, lifestyle choice, etc. making the rounds. But I plan to use it as not only a word, but as mindset. Or maybe a bullet list. I don't know. Its 4:43 am and I'm really tired. Only had four hours of sleep.
- pay off a card or two
- start paying back student loans
- drop a few pounds (enough to make doctor happy when I see her in September)
- stop buying crap I don't need.
- actually start cooking on a regular basis
Not a bad list. I would say "get some money in savings" but I have managed to squirrel away $1000. Maybe I can hang on to it longer than a week.
Take it easy and go to sleep!
